Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
Before & After School Care & Holiday Care Programs
Our Philosophy
Myrniong Primary School Outside School Hours Care aims to provide rich, engaging and fun experiences for all children in our care. We use the My Time, Our Place framework to observe children and plan activities based on children’s interests and learning.
Our inclusive educational program respectfully acknowledges a variety of cultures and backgrounds, and acknowledges and respects our local Indigenous nation, the Wathaurong people.
Our service promotes healthy lifestyles through our healthy eating policy and encouraging regular physical activity. We model positive interactions with others and use restorative behaviour management practices to guide children’s behaviour.
Myrniong OSHC provides care and active supervision for all children within our service, and aims to support family life with open communication between our service and families. We encourage feedback for ongoing improvement in terms of our service and educational program.
Enrolment Information
It is a legal requirement that all families complete an official OSHC Enrolment Form before they use the program. Parents are asked to obtain an enrolment form from the School Office or the OSHC Coordinator. These are to be updated on an annual basis or when contact information changes. Parents are responsible for informing staff of these changes.
Enrolment forms should contain child’s interests, cultural background, and special dietary requirements. They also contain information from families on the individual health needs of the child. Centrelink may use provided information such as CRNs, date of birth and any siblings to update records or payments. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure that all information is correct.
